Pledging to share best practices to create a more sustainable city, APU President Doug. North and Mayor Mark Begich joined leaders of the University-Medical District as they declared the U-Med District as Anchorage's first "green" district.  The signing institutions pledged to implement sustainable policies and practices, to share information and strategies for identifying best practices and to work collaboratively to implement new ideas as appropriate.
