February 24, 2009 -- Today in Liberec, Czech Republic APU student-athlete Kikkan Randall became the 1st American woman to win a World Championship medal in cross-country skiing with an outstanding performance leading to a Silver Medal! After 4 rounds on a difficult 1.3 km long trail competing for the victory with the very best in the world. She is also only the 2nd American ever to win a Medal at a World Championships, the other coming as a bronze in 1982. This is a great moment for American skiing and a great moment for Kikkan and APU.
