The only degree of its kind in the state of Alaska.
The Executive MBA in Information and Communication Technology (MBAICT) combines an understanding of converged information and communication technologies with the ability to develop and analyze appropriate business strategies and public policies for this sector.
Convergence and Globalization
Two key principles underlie the curriculum. First, convergence has blurred the historic boundaries that once separated telecommunications, information, and entertainment. Second, globalization has impacted these industries so that production of hardware & software, network design & operation, customer service, and business planning have become global activities.
Globalization in this sector involves diversity of thinking, innovation, and unique modes of collaboration.
The curriculum also addresses the policy environment in the industry and its implication for managerial decisions. Plus, this program offers an Executive option of admission to the program without a Bachelor’s degree.
Overview of the MBAICT Requirements
MBAICT shares the same core requirements as the other MBA programs, and most classes have a mixture of students from the different degree programs. In addition, the MBAICT program has a sequence of courses specifically addressing the rapidly changing and converged ICT sector.
