For the 4th year in a row, Alaska Pacific University has been ranked in the highest echelon of Master's Level Universities in U.S. News & World Report's Guide to America's Best Colleges.

APU and the RANA Program have received major grants.

Education Innovations: Comprehensive School Instruction for Paraprofessionals and Teachers
3-year project beginning Fall 2007
The project brings together school districts and APU to focus on developing courses and other professional development opportunities for educators who want to know more about comprehensive school reform and standards-based education.

Sharing the Vision: Reinventing Teacher Education
2004-2007
The project had two primary goals: to raise the knowledge, skills, and professional compentence of paraprofessionals working in rural schools; and to provide curriculum for paraprofessionals focused on quality school models.

RANA Program Recruitment and Retention Project
2005-2007
With this project, APU focused on the goals of recruitment and retention for RANA, to better serve rural Alaskans through quality online education.
