The Department of Environmental Science, including its students, is looked to as the leader in APU’s efforts to reduce our impacts on the environment. The university’s Sustainability Committee was founded by department members and members continue to carry prominent roles in the committee’s activities. The university is also a committed member of the National Wildlife Association’s Campus Ecology Program. We encourage all of our students to not simply strive for academic excellence, but for excellence in environmental citizenship as well.
