‘It’s fun to go to class. How many accounting students can say that and mean it!”
When we asked APU accounting students to tell us about their education at Alaska Pacific University, we learned that they share a lot in common with APU accounting faculty.
Students value real-world insight and the APU faculty who incorporate their practical knowledge into coursework. Accounting students and faculty alike cherish APU’s intentionally small class sizes. They appreciate flexible course schedules that accommodate working adults. We heard plenty of praise for collaborative projects that help galvanize classroom learning.
And then we heard from Yana Valinske, BA Accounting Information for Management, APU Class of ’10
“It’s fun to go to class,” Yana told us. “How many accounting students can that and mean it!”
Frankly, Yana, we’ve never counted.
But we do know this: Whether your career goals include advanced certification in areas like public accounting or entry-level expertise in quantitative skills, you’ll find APU faculty mentors with real-world experience in government, industry, coaching, planning, management, banking and more.
At Alaska Pacific University, your professors, instructors and affiliate teachers strive to meet expectations of accounting students like you who enjoy a good challenge. We think going to class is fun too!
