Both Counseling Psychology and Human Services majors offer a very flexible and student-friendly curriculum that maximizes student choice in taking electives both within the major and across the university.
This unique feature allows the student to craft a very individualized concentration while at the same time permitting broad Liberal Arts skill development of the student’s own choosing.
For instance a student may combine courses in outdoors studies with counseling psychology to prepare for a career in outdoor recreation or recreation therapy. Or they may take art and music courses with Counseling Psychology to prepare for work in Art or Music Therapy. Our advisors are especially helpful to students who want to design their own concentration.
