Graduate Admissions Standards

A cumulative GPA of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 (where 4.00 = "A") is required for admission. Admission is contingent upon meeting one of the following requirements:

  1. A baccalaureate GPA of 3.00 if applying for a first Masters degree; or
  2. If applying for an additional Masters degree, a 3.00 GPA fro the last Masters Degree completed.

Applicants with GPAs between 2.75 and 2.99 may be considered by the appropriate Program Director who will make the decision whether to admit or deny. If an applicant's GPA is below 2.75, the Program Director will make the decision based on the recommendation of the department in which the program is offered. The Program Director also has the option of seeking input from the University Graduate Studies Committee in cases of uncertainty. The program director will report the admission of students with a GPA below 2.75 to the Graduate Studies Committee.
