Journeys

Journeys Schedule

August 13: Arrival – whether it be by plane, train, automobile, or ferry please make arrangements to be on campus by the 13th of August. When you arrive at APU make sure you have all of your trip gear separate from the rest of your belongings and ready to go. Students living on campus may store their personal belongings in their dorm rooms.

August 14: Pre-trip Meetings – We will go over the trip plan, equipment needs, and vital information. Bring everything you will be taking with you on Journeys to your pre trip meeting. Any rental equipment will be checked out at this time. Those going Sea Kayaking will be doing a practice session in the pool so bring your swim suit and a towel. Enjoy an evening BBQ (friends and family welcome) and meet some of our staff and faculty. Take some time to get familiar with campus, meet other new students and your trip leaders.

August 15@Early AM: Head Out – Load up your gear and jump in the van for an amazing road trip through South Central Alaska. Everyone will be shuttled to their respective trip locations and out on their trips.

August 20: Return to APU Campus - After breakfast we will head back to campus and gear down. For on-campus students, the rest of the day will be spent moving into your dorm rooms. Relax and get ready for orientation week.
