Thursday, December 6th at 1:00pm, join us on campus to help retire the APU log. We will gather to share some thoughts and memories as we retired the log as the primary signpost welcoming Alaskans and visitors to the campus. APU hopes to salvage the face of the log and return it in the spring or summer to adorn the face of Grant Hall as a preserved work of art. A new sign will shortly be in place. Please join us. We will serve hot cocoa and tea

It is with great excitement I let you all know about our new, Official, Alumni facebook page for Alaska Pacific University! We want to make it easy and fun for everyone to stay engaged with us! In an effort to keep all our information in one place, the current AMU/APU Alumni Association group will close out and we will have one official page easily assessable to all alumni! And we don’t want to bombard people with information or make it redundant so we will remove the group once everyone has liked the new page and use our new page for all our alumni related stories, events and information!
The page is pretty stark at the moment but so bare with us as we gather fun tidbits of information, stories and pictures! It will just keep getting better and better we promise!

Thank you so much and go ahead and get those “likes” on!

Alumni, Students, Staff, Faculty and Friends!
There is a very exciting opportunity May 5-14, 2013 to travel to Rome with our very own APU Professors!!

Join Professors Regina Boisclair and Timothy Rawson of Alaska Pacific University for an enriching journey to one of the most fascinating destinations in the world – Rome. Our program explores the intersection of classical Rome with the rise of early Christianity. One finds in Rome the greatest concentration of evidence for who the early Christians were and how early Christianity began to arise and take shape and form. We will visit the Catacombs, early Christian meeting places, and see some of the earliest art in Christianity. Many of the sites we will visit are adjacent to great Roman monuments, underscoring the similarities and differences between the beliefs, traditions and customs of ancient Romans and the early Christians. Our program balances organized group guided visits with enough leisure to enjoy Rome at your own pace. Come join this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see Rome through the eyes of great teachers who have insiders’ views of this marvelous city.

Human history is rich with tales of globe trekkers who have gained valuable insight about themselves and the world around them through the discovery and exploration of cultures outside their own. People who travel the globe begin a lifelong journey of wordly citizenship.

Please visit http://www.travelillume.com/trc/gca for more information
