Jeremiah Boone - Chairperson
Born in Georgia, Born to live in Alaska. I moved to the state to go to school at APU four years ago and haven't left much since. I am an Environmental Science major. In the summers, I work for ADFG in SE Alaska on a salmon weir. I am proud that I was chosen by you my peers to represent you in this important job on campus.
Laura Willoughby - Vice Chair
I will be entering my 4th year as an environmental science major, 2nd year as an RA, and 21st year of desperately fighting gravity in public situations. I like long walks on the beach and bareback riding natures' purest animal, the lama. And, despite Alaska's shortage of lamas, I love Alaska Pacific University. I hope that you will take the time to enjoy the campus, the wonderful sense of community, the amazing people, and the wildlife we are fortunate to be surrounded by. Even the moose, which unfortunately are not suitable for bareback riding on the beach…trust me I know.
Jon Ebron - Office manager
This is my fourth year at Alaska Pacific University and soon I will be getting my BA in Counseling and Psychology. I was born in Fairbanks, Alaska but I have lived in the great state of New Jersey for most of my life, but Alaska will always be my home. This is my first year with ASAPU, but this will be my second year as President of C.O.L.O.R.S. As for my hobbies and interest I enjoy hanging out with friends, watching TV, and reading palms.
Kim Urrea - Treasurer
This is my first year at APU. I like it so far. My major is Business Management with a minor in Accounting. I was born in Miami but have lived here since I was 9. But my heart is still by the beach and the sun!
Samantha Fili - Secretary
Talofa, my name is Samantha Fa'agase Fili. I was born in American Samoa, (a US TERRITORY) and was raised there my whole life by my grandparents. I have been in Alaska since January Session '05. I'm currently a senior and a Psychology major with an emphasis in Forensic science. This is my first time as an ASAPU secretary and also my last, because I'm graduating next year.
Debbie Chulick - DCP rep.
Hi! I am the Human Services program and am having a great time being back in school. I have two part time jobs, and am going to school full time. In my free time I enjoy doing art, scrap booking, spending time with friends, and playing with my miniature daschund, Chewy. A very important part of my life is my faith. I believe in something greater than myself, and I believe every person has a purpose for their life. One of my passions is helping people to discover their purpose. I also like to go to movies, take walks outside, listen to music, and swim. I moved to Alaska from Cleveland, Ohio, three years ago and I love living up here. After I get my Bachelor's degree, I hope to be a volunteer coordinator, an activity director, or a Literacy director.
Daniel Echeverri - Early Honors rep.
Hi. I was born and raised in Alaska, although I have spent numerous years out of the country. I am still attending high school, but since that sucks I spend most of my time in APU. I have no actual power since I am the Early Honors Representative J/K, but I will still do my best to keep peace and prosperity amongst my people.
Thomas A. Brown - Non traditional rep.
I was born in the Netherlands, on the German border in a little town called Heerlen. I haven't lived in the USA for twenty years, according to many in CONUS I still don't. I love Alaska, I have only been here for one semester but so far Anchorage is one of the friendliest places I have ever been to, out of the four continents and dozen or so countries I have visited or lived in. I am an Education Major here at APU, my next stop after getting my bachelor's degree is grad school in the lower forty-eight for a PHD in military history.
Jennifer Gonzalez - Sophomore rep.
I love water, snow, mountains and climbing. APU is the perfect place for a Marine Biology major. I was born in California, moved to southern Texas, and made my own choice to live in Alaska. I lifeguard and instruct swimming lessons at Moseley. I do not own a car, so I rely on the friendly bus system. Hopefully I will get a scar soon! I am proud to be part of ASAPU to be a voice for the students.
Anabell Deutschlander - Senior rep.
I love Alaska. I love the environment so recycle and take care of it. Take care of things you love, if you love school, help take care of it.
Jessica Henning - Freshmen rep.
I love to be involved in APU and this was one opportunity that helped me do just that. I want to make sure the freshman of APU know what is going on and voice their concerns. I plan to stay involved as long as I am here and I am excited to be apart of the team!
David Wilson - Grad rep.
I am originally from California and moved to Anchorage about 7 years ago to go to Alaska Pacific University for my undergraduate degree. I have lived in Southern California and the Bay Area for a good part of my life, but now call Anchorage, AK my home. I enjoy hanging out with friends, photography, cross country skiing, fishing, most outdoor activities, desktop publishing, movies, and performing arts. While attending Alaska Pacific University, I have had the opportunity to be apart of student government. I started out as the Freshman Representative, and then was elected to Vice Chairperson and then Chairperson the following year. I have enjoyed representing the student body and fighting for students rights. But now as I return to Alaska Pacific University as a graduate student, I now have a better understanding of the issues graduated students face and see how hard it is for them to have a voice to speak on their behalf. I am glad to have the opportunity to serve once again on ASAPU as the Graduate Representative.
