APU’s Strategic Plan

APU’s accreditation visit occurred during Fiscal Year 12. We approached it by conducting an open and honest self-reflective assessment. The accreditation team’s report acknowledged that and commended us.  As a part of this process APU faculty, staff, and students convened a two-day Summit to produce a Strategic Plan while concurrently, the Board of Trustees appointed a Strategic Planning Committee.  Working together, the APU community produced a Strategic Plan which was approved by the Board on May 17.  As follow-up we appointed three summer work groups to examine and streamline General University Requirements, academic programs including the Academic Calendar, and the First-Year Student Experience, precisely the type of work the accreditation team asked us to do.

APU’s Strategic Plan articulates a new mission, values, core themes, strategies, and operational success measures to assess our progress.
