The Counseling Psychology and Human Services Department at Alaska Pacific University is seeking a faculty member to join our team at the Assistant or Associate level. Alaska Pacific University is a small private liberal arts and sciences university providing personalized, experiential, hands-on instruction with Alaska as its primary classroom. The department offers a range of degrees from AA in Human Services through a PsyD in Counseling Psychology designed to meet the university vision to provide student centered education to ignite personal passion, self-discovery, and deep learning. Along with traditional campus undergraduate schedules, many of the classes are offered during evening and weekend hours, or online, to better serve working professionals. The department seeks an individual with a collaborative approach for a .75 time position who will be teaching primarily in the doctoral program as well as assisting in program development.
Requirements for the successful candidate:
- Earned doctorate in Counseling Psychology or a closely related field
- Licensed psychologist or license eligible
- Experience working at the professional level providing direct service
Preferred professional experience includes:
- supervisory responsibility
- experience in Alaska
- work in diverse organizations
