Despite being born and raised in the great state of Delaware, I managed to find the outdoors anyway. I have long been interested in how various processes shape Earth’s landscape, and have been focusing recently on reconstructing past climate variability with the goal of better forecasting future change. These reconstructions often rely on geochemical variations in corals, lake sediments or ocean mud, and much of my work seeks to develop new proxies that more accurately record past climate. This work has taken me from the reefs of the Red Sea, to the lakes of world’s largest atoll, to the glaciers of Devon Island and I am excited that it has now brought me to APU!
