Master of Business Administration

Travel Opportunities

"I have enjoyed the interaction with my fellow students as we observed changes in the business world. During my coursework at APU, there have been significant changes in the accountability of publicly held companies because of the accounting fiascos of Enron, Tyco, and WorldCom. Because of the flexibility of the instructors and the small classes, the syllabus of courses was easily changed and adapted to incorporate current business events in both the telecommunication classes as well as business coursework."

International travel and cross cultural experiences are available through a relationship we have with Danube University in Krems, Austria. APU students can take up to four courses (part of the core curriculum for any of our MBA programs) in Austria. There is also the opportunity to join students from Austria as they take two courses in Anchorage during the summer semester.

Additional travel opportunities are available through courses cross-listed with our undergraduate Business Administration program such as a excursion to India in May 2005 to supplement the curriculum of MBA 692 India: Business Beyond the Bottom Line. Students will learn about the bi-directional impacts of globalization using India as a learning laboratory. Globalization will be explored through readings and visits to Navdanya (a grass roots organization with a seed bank, organic farm and school in Dehradun, outside of Delhi) and to NGOs in Kolkata.
