"The emphasis in health care administration was the first draw for me. I was looking for an MBA program focused on health care but I didn't want to do anything online. Once at APU I was impressed by the personal attention given to students and the focus on experiential learning. In addition, classes are scheduled to meet the needs of working adults."
Vicki Faciane Learn More The MBA program offers a wide variety of course delivery styles ranging from experiential learning to traditional lecture. Classes are conducted in a seminar format and involve small group learning opportunities. Intimate classes, with an average class size of 10 students, allow the faculty to get to know each student's interests.
"I am a relatively new student to the APU graduate program, but so far my experience has been very positive. The teachers are not only knowledgeable of their subject but provide a friendly and comfortable classroom experience. They provide excellent speakers within the field and the class sizes are small enough to provide the opportunity for direct communication between the students and speakers. The atmosphere encourages a good communication between the students, and you tend to make friends with whom you will remain close to throughout your coursework. I have found the teaching staff as well as the administration to be friendly and helpful."
Susan Whitaker Alaska Pacific's MBA students are diverse. Classes typically include American and international students, professionals, and traditional students. Both clinical and non-clinical professionals bring health care delivery viewpoints to classroom debates. Most classes are scheduled in the evenings after 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, to accommodate students who work during the day. Courses are offered with online interaction to supplement classroom instruction. Many students are employed full-time and attend classes on a part-time basis. |
