Master of Science in Environmental Science
Application Procedures
The requirements for admission to the MSES program are as follows:
- Application and Application Fee. Complete the graduate application form and send it to the Office of Admissions along with $25 application fee.
- Official Transcripts. Request official transcripts be sent from all colleges or universities you have attended. Transcripts may be sent directly to admissions. If you have transcripts mailed to you, they will arrive in a sealed envelope with an official signature. Do not open this envelope. Send sealed envelope, along with any additional information you need to send to the Office of Admissions.
- Letters of Recommendation. Submit three current letters of recommendation, using the
Recommendation Forms in the admissions packet.

- Resume. Submit a current résumé.
- Essay. Write and submit a 500-word essay outlining your motivation for seeking the Master of Science in Environmental Science Degree. Include your professional interests and career goals.
- Standardized Test. Submit scores from the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) general test which are no more than four years old. Alaska Pacific's GRE reporting code is 4201.
- International Students. Applicants must complete additional materials outlined in the Supplemental Application for International Admission. Please note that in most cases, the application deadlines for international students are earlier than those for U.S. applicants.
- Application Deadline. July 1st for Fall semester, November 1st for Spring semester.
