Master of Science in Environmental Science

Degree Requirements

Each Master of Science in Environmental Science graduate is required to:

  1. successfully complete six required courses and four elective courses
  2. pass a comprehensive examination
  3. successfully complete an individually designed research thesis.

and two of the following:
ES 615 Conservation Biology 3
ES 613 Environmental Geology 3
ES 655 Environmental Chemistry 3
and two of the following:
ES 669 Environmental Law 3
ES 620 Natural Resources Planning and Politics 3
ES 621 Global Resources and International Conservation 3
Electives 12

Note: MSES students may take up to six (6) credits of upper division undergraduate course work in partial fulfillment of the degree requirements. The student's advisor and Program Director must approve the courses in advance of the enrollment.
