Class Fees
Classes are Free for APU Students, Staff, and Faculty!
General Public: $5 a class or $45 for a 10 card punch pass.
Yoga Flow – Located in the Art Room
The Yoga Flow class will focus on synchronizing the breath with a sequence of poses that will help strengthen and increase range of motion in your muscles, improve your balance, and still the mind. The instructor will offer modifications to lighten the pose along with advanced variations making this class perfect for all levels.
Pilates – Located in the Art Room
Pilates classes uses centering, concentration, control, precision, breath, and flow in a mat based workout to emphasize the balanced development of the body while primarily focusing on core strength, flexibility, and awareness.
Water Aerobics – Located at the Moseley Sports Center
Water Aerobics exercises uses the water as resistance while doing aerobic training to provide the body with both resistance and cardiovascular exercise in a low impact environment. Perfect for all fitness levels as you decide on the intensity; the faster you move and more range of movement you use the harder it is!
Restorative Yoga – Located in the Art Room
Restorative Yoga focuses on opening, releasing, and relaxing the body in restful postures. Props are used to allow the body to feel supported enabling you to completely relax. Poses are generally held 3-5 minutes allowing you to renew and heal while teaching the body and mind to truly let go.
Zumba – Located at the Moseley Sports Center
Add variety to your exercise routine and learn some new dance moves with Zumba! Zumba is a dance-based workout that combines Latin and International music with a fun and effective workout system.
Strength Training Class – Located in the Atwood Basement’s Fitness Center
This class focuses on strength training using both weight lifting and bodyweight exercises. Your instructor will help you learn proper techniques and encourage you to push to your limit in a safe and effective training style!
Circuit Training – Atwood Basement
This class is designed to improve balance, coordination, range of motion, and strength for daily living skills to increase functional capacities. Perfect for someone just starting a fitness routine or for those who are currently experiencing limited range of motion or other physical disabilities.
