New Student Orientation

Images of various APU activitiesCongratulations and Welcome! You are about to begin what may be the most memorable years of your life. On behalf of the entire staff and faculty at APU, we welcome you and are looking forward to your arrival!

Orientation at APU is more personalized and informal than what you may find at a larger university. You might say that orientation is your ticket to finding success at APU. You’ll be able to meet your advisor, register for classes and talk to Student Financial Services. On top of all that you will be begin to form friendships with others at APU through many social activities and events happening during the week. By the end of orientation you’ll know how to register for classes, where to buy your books, and just about everything else you need to know to navigate life at APU.

Most orientation activities are geared just for students. However, for those of you who have parents coming to APU during orientation, there are some activities especially for them. A more detailed, up-to-date schedule will await you when you arrive.

In the meantime, feel free to contact the Office of the Dean of Students at (907) 564-8287 with any questions you may have. Have a great summer and Welcome to APU!
