Wilderness First Responder is the industry standard for wilderness medical training. This course is taught in five days with an emphasis being placed on planning, prevention, and decision-making, through scenarios and skill labs. There is an online portion that all attendees MUST finish prior to the start of the course.
Course topics include, but are not limited to:
+ Wound Management
+ Realigning fractures and dislocations
+ Improvised splinting techniques
+ Allergies
+ Hypo and hyperthermia
+ Gastrointestinal infection
+ Cardiac and respiratory emergencies
+ Patient monitoring
+ Long term management and care.
