Workshops & Retreats

Embracing the model of active learning, The Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) involves staff, students, and faculty (as well as community members) in active retreats and trainings.

The CWC offers wilderness and adventure-based workshops and retreats throughout the year, often at no cost to students. For current practitioners in mental health, the CWC offers summer workshops and retreats, and works with wilderness therapy programs in terms of staffing, practice, and various concerns. APU students, at all levels, are afforded opportunities for professional training within this growing and dynamic field.
