Holly Brooks grew up in Seattle, Washington and skied for the Pacific Northwest Junior Olympic team before skiing at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. Moving to Alaska and ski coaching was supposed to be "temporary" but has now turned into a fulltime job. Before coaching at APU, Holly worked as a volunteer coach at Maine Winter Sports Center, an assistant coach with Alaska Winter Stars, and was head coach of West Anchorage High School for three years. Today Holly coaches the Junior, Noon Master, and Women’s Only programs for APU. In her spare time, she is a competitor herself finishing near the top of the results in both skiing and mountain running races. Holly is rarely seen without a smile on her face and looks forward to sharing her love for skiing with APU athletes.
