Adventures in Alaska

The Adventures in Alaska were created to let you experience Alaska and what it would be like to be student at Alaska Pacific University. We would love to have you join us for any of our exciting trips. All of the trips will be packed with outdoor activities, and you’ll also have a few days to explore Anchorage and APU to enjoy what they have to offer a potential student. At this time the Summer Visits are available to high school Juniors only.

We strongly believe in visiting Alaska Pacific University and Alaska to see if they are the right fit for you. The cost of the trip is $350, and will provide for all accomodations. So once you step off the plane all of your transportation, lodging, and meals are covered. We will handle the majority of the necessary gear, but please look over the gear list enclosed so that you can come prepared.

As an added incentive, if you visit us the summer after your junior year and enroll in classes at Alaska Pacific University for the 2009 Fall term, we’ll credit you $500 to offset your airfare for your summer excursion. You have to admit that’s a pretty sweet deal. To better match current airfare prices, if you enroll at APU for the 2009 Fall term we'll credit you $1000 to offset your travel expenses and the $350 trip fee for a total of $1350.

This Summer (2008) we're offering four different trip options. Check out the trip descriptions for information, cost, and dates.

The four trips are all different, so choose the trip that works best with your schedule and your desired activity. Be sure to return the full registration packet as soon as possible. The registration deadline is the 1st of June or 1st of July, depending on which trip you would like to join. There are limited spots available per trip, and only a handful of lucky individuals can participate in the adventure of a lifetime. Make sure that when you return the information to us, ALL of the forms are completed in FULL, signed by you AND a parent/guardian.

We are only able to hold openings for participants who have fully paid, and this is on a first-come, first-serve basis. As always, if you have any questions feel free to call or email us.
