Sun
TBA Theatre Presents: Babes in Arms @ Earl R. Brown Auditorium in Grant Hall
May 13 @ 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm

May 11-13, 2012 Friday & Saturday at 7PM, Saturday and Sunday at 3PM.
At a summer stock theatre, a group of young performers use their conviction to mount the original revue they’ve created, while dodging the underhanded attempts of the surly theatre owner to squash their efforts at every turn, complicated by the overbearing stage mother of a beautiful ex-child star and the inflated ego of a hack southern playwright. But of course the show must go on, and so it does in a resolution of comeuppance, reconciliation and romance. This quintessential Rogers & Hart musical boasts one of the greatest scores ever written, including My Funny Valentine and The Lady is a Tramp.
Cost: $10 General Admission, $8 Student/Military, $5 Children 12 & Under.

Jerusalem-based scholar Gregory T. Tatum, O.P will be delivering a public talk tonight, Aug. 20, starting at 7 p.m. in the Grant Hall Theater at APU. Titled “Freedom of the Glorious Children of God,” the lecture considers themes of liberation and embodied glorification.

7 Week Chakra Balancing Series @ Moseley Sports Center
Feb 10 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

The Eastern Chakra system is a holistic approach to understanding and cultivating personal development very similar to the Western psychology theory of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Learning about the chakra system provides us with a deeper understanding of ourselves, which becomes a powerful tool for personal growth and healing.

Each week we will explore one of the 7 main chakras and then balance the chakra through yoga, mantras, aromatherapy, color therapy and meditation.

Sign Up at the Moseley Sports Center or call 907-564-8314

This exact workshop has been offered twice at Anchorage’s Spirit Path Yoga and Wellness Center for $100, but is being offered to APU students, staff and faculty for FREE!

This series will be held in our new Yoga room at the Moseley Sports Center!

Instructed by Amanda Montavon
Amanda is the Assistant Director of Recreation Programs for APU. She is also a registered yoga teacher (RYT) with the Yoga Alliance and has a 200 RYT in Multi Style Yoga and a 500 RYT in Traditional Tantra Yoga
