Current symptoms for COVID-19 include mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough, muscle aches, and difficulty in breathing. Read more about COVID-19 Symptoms.

What should I do if one of my students or colleagues shows symptoms of COVID-19?

Practice preventative measures like:

  • Avoid close contact with others.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.

What is APU doing to minimize the risk of infection to students, faculty and staff?

We have a response team monitoring guidance and evaluating campus safety in light of the most current public health information.

What about events and large gatherings?

Events or meetings will be allowed. We will continue to monitor and follow local, state, and federal mandates or advisories. Face masks and social distancing will continue to be required at any events or any size gatherings.

Is APU distributing masks for people to wear to prevent the spread of infection on our campuses?

No, APU is not distributing masks, but you are more than welcome to use a mask. Department of Health Social Services recommends that you wear a cloth face-covering in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies).
