Join the 2022 Anchorage International Women’s Day Planning Committee for a virtual panel discussion celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

Imagine a gender-equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. This is what this day envisions – a day to accelerate women’s equality and empower women of all ages and backgrounds.

This event will be broadcast on Facebook Live and on APU’s YouTube Channel.

PROGRAM:
Opening remarks by Lo Crawford and an overview of women’s equity by Clare Ross.
A panel discussion moderated by Kristel Komakhuk, External Relations at Alaska Pacific University, featuring women who have achieved success in their profession and careers:
-Award-winning author Dana Stabenow;
-Retired Judge Stephanie Rhoades;
-Entrepreneur Jasmin Smith;
-And leader and advocate Nyabony Gat
A song performance by Shirley Mae Staten.
Closing remarks by Lo Crawford.
