REE NANCARROW: New Work

Ree Nancarrow makes wall quilts using many of her own fabrics, which are dyed, painted and/or silkscreened. Elaborate quilting adds a rich and textural surface. Living near Denali Park for 50 years and working with scientists in the In Time of Change program inform her work. In 2012 she received an Interior Alaska Mayor’s Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts.
