Dear Students,
Spring semester federal grants are available through a simple application due March 31. Compared to the previous assistance program, a greater number of students, including those students who take classes completely online, can qualify for assistance provided to APU by the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA). These are grant funds that do not need to be repaid.
Applicants must be:
- A full or part-time student at Alaska Pacific University; however, international students, those enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, and undocumented students are not eligible.
- In need of covering expenses for any component of the student’s cost of attendance such as tuition, food, housing, or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus, such as health care (including mental health care) or child care. The funding prioritizes students with exceptional need, broadly defined.
The application for spring 2021 is available from the link below and should take less than five minutes to complete and submit. It requires self-certification, but no documentation is required. You must submit your completed application to financialaid@alaskapacific.edu by March 31, 2021 to receive funding.
I wish you a healthy and successful rest of the semester!
