Hi! My name is Alaina and I’m an academic advisor at Alaska Pacific University.
I was born and raised in a small town in Illinois where I ran track and played tuba in the marching band. I attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale and received my bachelor’s in rehabilitation services in 2017. This is also where I began my career in higher education as an admissions counselor.
I moved to Anchorage in 2019 and have been having the most exciting experiences since! My favorite part about living in Alaska is being so close to the mountains and always having new places to explore. Outside of work, I enjoy visiting farmers’ markets, spending time with my puppy (Caribou), and listening to music.
I look forward to connecting with students and making sure that they have the tools they need to succeed!
