Ellie Jackson was born and raised in Nome and is of Siberian Yupik descent. She earned a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage and a bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Her career has focused on enhancing the Alaska Native community through her work in health care. From 2010-2016, she developed and implemented corporate communication plans and strategic messaging at Southcentral Foundation, informing the organization’s customer-owners about health and related services.
Jackson serves as the Special Projects Coordinator in ANTHC’s Wellness and Prevention department. In her role, she manages strategic initiatives and supports several community outreach projects and events. Ellie loves exercising and is active in basketball, softball, and has competed in local crossfit competitions. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and getting outside as much as possible to camp, hike and backpack around Alaska.
