My name is Erika Quade and I am the Admissions Counselor for Professional Studies and undergraduate students from rural Alaska.
I have been in Alaska most of my life. I was born in Kenai, Alaska. My father was a bush pilot, so we eventually moved to Bethel. I lived there until 4th grade, when we moved to Anchorage. I absolutely LOVED Bethel! I was lucky enough to live in a place where I could eat as much smoked salmon as I wanted and had the freedom to go out exploring every day with my sister. I also loved the strong sense of community that the people of that region provided.
Because of my passion and love of the Alaskan cultures I grew up with, I chose to study Anthropology with a focus on cultural Anthropology and Minored in Alaska Native Studies.
I am fortunate to have found a position where I can work in education, directly with students, and also able to maintain a connection with rural Alaska and the many cultures of Alaska.
If you have ANY questions, please feel free to reach out to me. I am here to help!
