Born in Anchorage, one mile from the APU campus, Raina is a home grown APU alumnus in Outdoor Studies. An experienced guide and recreation programmer, her passion is to teach new skills and explore the wilderness with adventure seeking students. She has an extensive career in Alaska as a guide to include the following activities: llama packing, dog sledding, whitewater rafting, mountaineering, sea kayaking, glacier trekking, ice climbing, backcountry expeditions, snowboarding and skiing. She is a certified alpine ski, snowboard, kayak, Stand Up Paddleboard and Climbing instructor.
