The N.E. “Knobby” Segelhorst Memorial Scholarship was established by Mary Ellen Segelhorst to serve as a memorial to her beloved husband, N.E. “Knobby” Segelhorst, a major benefactor of Alaska Pacific University, both during his life and after his passing in 2004. Knobby, and his wife Mary Ellen, generously supported APU over many years, and most notably, contributed funds for the construction and maintenance of Segelhorst Hall, named in their honor. The purpose of this scholarship fund is to benefit Alaskan students needing financial assistance in order to achieve their academic goals. The scholarship may be used for tuition, books and fees and can only be applied toward study at Alaska Pacific University.
