Eco League

APU belongs to the Eco League, a consortium of six small liberal arts institutions

As a student at Alaska Pacific University you can spend up to two non-consecutive semesters as a visiting student at another Eco League institution without being considered a transfer student. That’s right – you don’t have to worry about credits transferring or a different tuition amount. You get the perks of a semester exchange at another great school and you keep all the perks of staying enrolled at Alaska Pacific University.

Member Colleges

  • Alaska Pacific University – Anchorage, Alaska
  • College of the Atlantic – Bar Harbor, Maine
  • Dickinson College – Carlisle, Pennsylvania
  • New College of Florida – Sarasota, Florida
  • Northland College – Ashland, Wisconsin
  • Prescott College – Prescott, Arizona

These Eco League schools share similar missions and value systems based on environmental responsibility, social change, and educating students to build a sustainable future.

All of the member schools have strong environmental studies programs. The universities also stress experiential education, so that students are prepared to take on real world challenges when they graduate.

With the Eco League exchange program, APU’s educational reach extends from Maine to Alaska

Eco League exchanges are open to students who are enrolled in any member school. Students can spend up to two semesters at another Eco League institution without being considered transfer students. Students continue to pay full-time tuition to their home institution; lab fees, course fees, and room and board are paid to the institution the student is visiting. Credits earned at other Eco League institutions are automatically transferred to the home institution.
