Dear APU Residents,

Skinny Raven Sports is hosting our annual Alaska Distance Classic race Saturday, August 3rd. Safely executing our race means closing some streets and alerting other users to our participants presence on the roads. There is a 5K starting at 9am and a 10K starting at 9:45am

The race starts on University Dr. near the Atwood Center and finishes at the Mosely Sports Center. There will be a full closure of the University Dr. during the 2 race starts. That will be between 8:50am and 9:10am and 9:35 and 9:55. During the rest of the race, runners will have a narrow lane alongside University Dr. and cars will be allowed through as it is safe.

The northbound lane of Elmore between Tudor and Providence Dr. will be closed between 8:45 and 10:15am. The best way to access campus during this time is by Providence Dr.

The last finisher will be done around 12:00pm.

Egress to and from the Faculty Row and Segelhorst Hall will be available on the service road behind Atwood Center and through the parking lot to University Dr near the Carr Gottstein building. Departure from other parking lots will be available as it is safe to cross runner traffic.
