Overview
The Rusty Myers Memorial Scholarship helps to enable students with financial need to pursue their passions in the environmental sciences by providing financial awards to be applied to tuition and lab fees for environmental science courses.
The Rusty Myers Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of Rusty Myers’ 35 years of service to APU. In August of 1980, Rusty joined the faculty of APU and served as its first environmental science professor. He had a strong passion for science education with the professional goal of making science exciting and fun for all his students.

Awarding Criteria
The Rusty Myers Memorial Scholarship will provide support for students meeting the following criteria:
- Is enrolled full-time in the Environmental Science program
- Is a Freshman, Sophomore or Junior
- Maintains a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Demonstrates financial need
- Demonstrates a passion for the Environmental Sciences
