Thomas O’Harra, APU student-athlete was the top Junior in the skate sprint at the 2016 US National Championships in Houghton, Michigan.
“Happy with my result today in the skate sprint as it is my best result this week so far and excited to see my form is getting better.” “Today was a good indicator of my fitness and if I end up making the World Championship team, I am confident I could make at least the semi finals if not the finals in the sprint.”
“Making the heats with some of my APU teammates makes the race so much fun. Training with these guys and then being able to ski with them in the races allows me to see how I measure up against my older teammates.”
As top Junior male in Monday’s sprint race, Thomas increases his chances of making the 2016 World Junior Championship team representing the U.S. in Romania in February.
