Max Romey is an Alaskan artist who found his voice in watercolors. His work as a running videographer takes him all over the globe, but his true passion is found on Alaskan trails and in the community they bring together. Bill Simeone has lived in Alaska for 50 years. Ten years ago he began painting life size portraits of Alaska Native people from the upper Tanana and Copper Rivers. The intent of these paintings is to expose the artist’s vision of Native people as sophisticated personalities, in control of their world.
