Alaska Pacific University Graduates ready to contribute to Alaska’s future

December 11, 2017

Anchorage, Alaska

Faculty, students, friends and family gathered Saturday, December 9, 2017 for the Alaska Pacific University (APU) Fall 2017 Graduation ceremony.

APU Board of Trustees Chair, LeeAnn Garrick stated, “The APU Board of Trustees are so proud of this fall’s graduates. It’s an APU tradition to invite the graduates to share words of gratitude and wisdom with the attendees. It was an inspiring morning hearing from a wide variety of students with one unifying message about how much they enjoyed their experience at APU. We look forward to seeing the many wonderful things they will continue to do in the future.”

Dr. Esther Beth Sullivan presented Faculty Emeritus status to Karen McCain and Dr. Kimberly Kjaersgaard for their outstanding dedication to the education of students at APU. McCain stated: “The best thing about APU is the people – students, faculty, and staff that truly care about the education of the whole person, a person seen as an individual. APU is and was a wonderful place to learn and grow with collegial support.”
