Alexandra Lorian, who graduated with an MS in Counseling Psychology in 2004 from APU, was the recipient of two Alaska Airlines Vouchers as the winner of the end of the year donation drawing.
Lorian, who works in private practice as a licensed professional counselor, has had a history of donating to the university.
“I give to groups I stand behind and believe in,” Lorian said. “Coming to APU made a significant difference in my life. It was what got me into a fulfilling profession, so I’m happy to give back when I can.”
Anyone who donated more than $100 at the end of the year was entered into the drawing for the tickets, however Lorian said she didn’t know there was a contest for donations, so winning was a “wonderful surprise.” Her two airline vouchers will allow her to go anywhere Alaska Airlines flies, though she said she’ll need to spend some time thinking about where she’d like to travel to and who’d she would like to bring with.
