Student Profiles

Peter Kling, BAM, 2011I liked that all the students in the BAM class were professionals from all different industries who were there because they wanted to be there, bringing real-world experience and real-world issues from the workplace into the classroom. Faculty would ask students to find projects within the community to address. The community was local but the reach was global because this is Alaska – with the petroleum industry, natural resources development, fishing, and some of the biggest companies here are Native Alaska corporations, so this brought in cultural issues as well. The Business Administration and Management at APU provides a much more robust education of its kind than you could get anywhere else. -Peter Kling, BAM, 2011
Becky More, BAM, 2015APU has been the perfect fit for me. With flexible schedules, superb and relevant classes, and active learning models, this single mom was able to work full-time and still achieve my goal of obtaining my college degree. The small community presents a family-type environment where your professors actually care about you as a person. I can’t say enough good things about my time as a student here at APU, and I will treasure the memories made. -Becky More, BAM, 2015
