Class of 2016 Student Profile: Amber Peterson

Hometown: Pittsburg, NH

Favorite Classes at APU: Dog Mushing, Ecology, and Environmental Geology

What will you miss about APU? The community, hands down. APU is a conglomerate of people found nowhere else. We have some of the sharpest minds, kindest hearts, and most kindred spirits. Everyone is unique but we all somehow seem to work together.

What is going to be your next adventure post-APU? Honestly, who knows? Whatever job I get, I just want to be outside, preferably in Alaska.

Any words of wisdom for students working on completing their degrees? Follow your degree program, but don’t be afraid to explore other areas, especially early on. You never know unless you try! A bigger variety of classes opens more doors than you may realize.
