Financial Aid Information

 Mission Statement

Student Financial Services will provide access and equal opportunity for financial assistance to eligible students through federal, state, institutional, and private sources regardless of sex, color, age, or other circumstance. We will endeavor to provide accurate, timely service while fostering an open, student-centered environment focused on ensuring that financial aid services are complementary to the mission and goals of the University. We will be responsive to the needs of the student, the University and the community.

The Student Financial Services and Office of Admissions staff prides itself on the personal attention paid to each applicant and their scholarship and financial aid packaging. Admissions will award scholarships to qualified applicants based on merit criteria. Student Financial Services will assist applicants with their federal, state and private aid. The combination of aid will be packaged with merit-based aid from Admissions.

Statement of Confidentiality

All application information provided by you and/or your parents is considered confidential. Individually identifiable records will not be released to other than authorized individuals without written consent. All Student records are handled with FERPA guidelines. Only the student may ask questions regarding his or her specific information with staff via phone or email or in person present an official APU ID.

If you wish to have your specific information shared with a parent, a spouse/partner, or an outside agency, you must make this request by completing a FERPA Confidential Information Release Form and submitting it to the Registrar’s Office of Student Financial Serviced Office prior to an information being released.
