APU is governed by a Board of Trustees, which sets the university’s direction and provides oversight, while the President and Senior Leadership team guide its implementation. An Elder Council offers invaluable guidance, working directly with faculty, staff, and students to ensure that APU lives up to its vision. Together, our leadership provides a culturally responsive educational experience that is purpose-driven, personalized and experiential, while celebrating the intersection of Indigenous and global diversity.
