Alaska Pacific University students are invited to submit films, photography and other creative work for the upcoming Maritime Works Film & Arts Festival, celebrating Alaska’s maritime industries, coastal communities and the people whose work and lives are connected to the water.

Hosted by the Alaska Safety Alliance and Alaska Workforce Alliance, the festival will take place Feb. 4, 2027, at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium in Anchorage. The event will showcase creative perspectives on Alaska’s maritime industries and provide opportunities to connect with the state’s creative and maritime communities.

The submission deadline is Dec. 1, 2026. Student filmmakers, photographers and artists are encouraged to share their work and contribute to the celebration of Alaska’s maritime heritage, industries and communities.

Students can also take advantage of discounted tickets to attend the festival, experience Alaska’s maritime stories and connect with others working across these fields.
