Cama’i! My Yup’ik name is Tutgarayaq, and I am originally from Dillingham, AK. I am proudly of Yup’ik and Sugpiaq descent and a member of the Curyung Tribe. I hold a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Alaska Anchorage and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Wildlife Conservation and Advocacy at Unity University. I joined APU in the summer of 2023. As a Community Engagement and Stewardship Coordinator, I collaborate with Tribes, Tribal Conservation Districts, Tribal organizations, and diverse stakeholders to promote knowledge sharing and stewardship initiatives that enhance the well-being of Alaska’s lands, waters, and communities. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, cooking, camping, and traveling—embracing adventures through connections between culture, community, and the natural world.
