
Betsy Watson
Dr. Watson was raised in Fairbanks and is the daughter of Connie Greco and the late Robert Watson and is the granddaughter of Johni Naylor. She holds an Ed.D. in Multicultural Education with an emphasis in Second Language Acquisition from the University of San Francisco. She works for ASD as a World Languages Teacher Expert, Instructional Support, is an Adjunct Professor at UAS and APU in Education. Dr. Watson comes with a background of teaching for 20 years English and Diversity literature, Japanese language, second language acquisition methods, and university courses in Curriculum Development. She currently works for APU on the team for the Tumyaraa project. She advocates for language equity and indigenizing curriculum at all levels of education. In her spare time, she hikes and runs trails with her husband, 3 adult children, and 2 dogs.
