M.S. Outdoor and Environment Education, Alaska Pacific University

Duc started his passion and career in the outdoor industry shortly after graduating from Indiana University Bloomington in 2015. For the past decade, he has developed his knowledge and skills in various outdoor settings, working for non-profit organizations in Hawaii, Australia, North Carolina, Wyoming, and Alaska. Duc expanded his knowledge and became interested in Indigenous travel, culture, and language when he started working for Chickaloon Native Village, Tlingit, and Haida Indian Tribes. He is currently a PhD student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in Indigenous Studies; he is dedicated to working on Indigenizing and integrating Indigenous knowledge into Western education.

If Duc is not working, he can be found biking, skiing, snowboarding, packrafting, fishing, hunting, or cooking a nice meal at home with his family and friends.
Duc enjoys working and connecting with students of all ages, providing a safe space for them to enjoy the outdoors and learn new skills.
