
Heather Reiss
Heather Reiss has nearly two decades of experience in environmental education and the tourism industry, working in iconic landscapes such as Yellowstone, the Tetons, and Denali National Park. Her roles have included serving as an Interpretive Park Guide at Big Hole National Battlefield, Lead Naturalist Guide at Kantishna Roadhouse in Denali, and Instructor for Road Scholar tours in Yellowstone and Teton National Parks. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Outdoor and Environmental Education at Alaska Pacific University, where her research focuses on co-developing a curriculum with Indigenous stakeholders to promote culturally respectful tourism education in Alaska. Heather lives in Palmer, AK, with her husband and their seven-year-old son, whom she homeschools.
